Essential Functions

Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
Provide hands-on physical therapy interventions, including therapeutic exercises, stretches, and modalities, as directed by the treatment plan.
Contribute observations and relevant information to assist in the formulation of treatment goals.
Ensure the proper use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment during patient treatment sessions.
Collaborate with the physical therapist and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers, addressing questions and concerns related to the treatment plan.
Monitor and motivate patients during rehabilitation sessions to ensure safety and optimal participation.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with regulatory standards.

Participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance clinical skills and stay current with best practices in physical therapy.

Mentorship / CEU / Professional Growth

Ability to experience working in new settings and/or with novel patient populations
New graduates and/or therapists working in a new setting are paired with an experienced mentor
Access to an interdisciplinary network of experienced clinicians to help navigate novel situations (e.g. AAC, ATP, OT, SLP, BCBA, etc.)
Tuition reimbursement to attend courses or participate in degree programs

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
Valid/current professional license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Massachusetts
Ability to travel to/between multiple work locations
Must pass extensive background checks and provide professional references
If selected for hire, candidates must be able to provide a recent physical indicating the ability to perform the essential functions of the job either with or without accommodations, proof of negative TB test, and required immunizations (including fully-vaccinated status for Covid-19).
