Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance on all heavy equipment and trucks
  • Maintain accurate records of each service repair performed on vehicles
  • Test-drive vehicles to ensure that they run smoothly


Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Proficient in diagnostics and service of diesel engines
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work meticulously
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Ability to adapt to changing technologies and repair methods
  • Commitment to safety protocols and regulations
  • Valid drivers license
  • Union Membership may be provided


Physical demands and working conditions:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Bend, twist, kneel, squat, reach, push and pull
  • Occasionally walk on uneven terrain and/or across bridges
  • May be required to work more than 40 hours a week and/or work irregular hours, particularly during emergencies
  • Ability to arrive on time and work the required hours to meet job expectations
  • Maintain excellent attendance


Salary Range: Union scale
