We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a full-time Intake Coordinator. The Intake Coordinator will serve as the first point of contact for families who are interested in therapy and neuropsychological evaluations. The Intake Coordinator will assess primary concerns and guide parents and families through scheduling. They will provide descriptions of services and assist in case assignments to the appropriate clinician. As part of solidifying a family’s first appointment, they will also collect necessary paperwork, answer any questions via phone or email, and provide timely follow-up.


The Intake Coordinator role is ideal for someone with an interest in psychology and childhood education. The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong multitasking and organizational skills. Given the nature of the position, the ideal candidate is also mature, compassionate, and has a warm personality. Moreover, a great deal of time per day is spent calling and emailing families, and a strong sense of customer service and concierge-style engagement is a must.


Please note, this role's start date will be June 2024. This role also requires you to be in-office 3 days a week at our Flatiron district office in Manhattan, NY.


Job Responsibilities:

● Assess inquiring families' primary concerns and schedule initial intake appointments

● Manage general practice inquiries and track prospective clients from initial call to completion of intake

● Track the clinical caseload of current staff and their availability for new cases

● Work with clinical director and clinical team to assign new clients

● Input client information into our EHR database

● Provide quotes for the projected cost of treatment and ongoing financial obligations for treatment and clinician availability for low-fee cases


The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

● 1-3 years of experience or education in mental and behavioral health or childhood education

● Ability to provide excellent customer service

● Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

● Strong written and verbal communication skills

● Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task

● Strong listening, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

● Strong Google Workplace (G Suite) skills


Compensation and Benefits:

● $22-$30 per hour, based on experience
