Seeking: Construction Program Manager – JGC is looking to hire a qualified Program Manager within our rapidly growing company. Must have construction management experience.


Job Description: We are seeking a knowledgeable Program Manager to oversee a portfolio of public construction programs within the San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties. Project sizes range from $20k - $2m. This role involves strategic oversight of multiple and concurrent projects at various stages of development, planning, design, construction, and close-out. Project types vary in scope from renovations to new construction.  

Responsibilities:

·        Manage multiple and concurrent projects during development, planning, design, construction, close-out, and warranty phases of major capital outlay projects, as well as other projects as assigned.

·        Ensure strict adherence to scope, safety, quality, schedule, innovation, and cost objectives.

·        Provide environment where dynamic project communication occurs between JGC Management, field employees and Subcontractors to ensure work is accomplished in an efficient, profitable, and safe manner.

·        Represent JGC effectively and work collaboratively with project teams including client PMs, project owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, inspectors, and local agencies.

·        Coordinate and integrate project meetings and activities, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and updated on project status.

·        Oversee overall project performance, including managing resources such as schedules and budgets.

·        Make well-informed and critical decisions that contribute to project success.

·        Ensure accurate construction reports for the job allowing for continuous improvement in performance.

·        Timecard review/approvals for all field employees.

Qualifications:

·        BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience

·        Minimum 3 years of experience in program or project management within public works or construction.

·        Demonstrated ability to manage extensive and varied projects effectively.

·        Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills.

·        Familiar with construction/project/job sequencing, budgets and job costs, scheduling (MS Project a plus), solid comprehension of construction/design plan reading and statement of work description.
