My growing client is looking for a highly motivated person to join their Software engineering team and work on a digital transformation platform. At its core, this role will translate user requirements into programmable functional and technical system specifications. The ideal candidate will be expected to create appropriate database procedures and implement web-based application modules using Laravel PHP | MySQL | AWS | JQuery/JavaScript | SailWind would be a plus, or else HTML/CSS is ideal. This person would research new tools as needed. In this role, you should be highly analytical and understand business needs. Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities are essential. Additionally, you will be responsible for prioritizing user requirements, overseeing system upgrades, and day-to-day support of our current application catalog and reports.


Essential Job Functions:

Strong database development skills with a solid understanding of stored procedures, views, and triggers

Full understanding of the web development life cycles

Strong problem-solving skills; adaptable, proactive, and willing to take ownership.

Closely working with other departments to gather and refine specifications and requirements.

Able to work under tight schedules to meet deadlines while still ensuring a high work quality.

Provide advice and technical training to end-users as needed.

Create and maintain software documentation.

Integrate multiple systems and reconcile the needs of different teams.

Keep abreast of technology trends and developments.

Review and analyze existing applications' effectiveness and efficiency and develop strategies for upgrading or leveraging new technologies as needed.


Qualifications:

B.A./B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field required.

Minimum of 2-3 years of Software Engineering experience.

3+ years of web development experience using PHP, jQuery, MySQL, MS SQL

Familiar with Laravel framework, Docker, Amazon AWS EC2, and S3.

Knowledge of databases, system security, and troubleshooting

Understanding of business practices

Excellent communication skills

Analytical mindset

Problem-solving aptitude
