Sr. Systems Engineer (Hybrid)


Responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support to customers to resolve support incidents via remote in-office and remote in-home work
  • Work with clients to suggest technical solutions that meet their business needs.
  • Work on new installs, migrations, troubleshooting and projects.
  • Interface with third party vendors and act as the liaison for the client
  • Update internal and client documentation as needed and create and maintain comprehensive documentation of client environments.
  • Participate in Teambuilding, Knowledge / Experience sharing, feedback, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities and areas of improvement while interacting with clients.
  • Participate in after-hours projects, troubleshooting and on-call availability.



Background:

  • At least 5 years progressive systems engineering experience installing/migrating and restoring MS servers, Network Support, Active Directory, Cloud Infrastructure and Security experience.
  • At least two years' interactive customer support/service (internal or external customers) experience within a Professional Services environment
  • Exceptional written/oral communication skills
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Permanent work authorization in the US
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong time management skills
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent working experience


Technical Knowledge:

  • Advanced experience in multiple areas of the Microsoft O365 platform (setup, configure, troubleshoot), including SharePoint.
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft server and workstation technologies
  • AWS/Azure/Cloud Infrastructure experience
  • Advanced experience in server virtualization technologies
  • Experience with Security Technologies or MFA
  • Proven background of providing excellent customer service
  • Demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong understanding of networking (firewalls, switching, wireless) across client environments
  • Demonstrated experience with storage technologies.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and areas of improvements for clients.
  • Certifications preferred: Microsoft, Cisco/Meraki, VMware, Okta
