Role summary:

The Board Repair & Test Specialist will use a variety of T & M Equipment and software applications to complete support tasks. The Board Repair & Test Specialist will adhere to all production control material management work procedures and policies as defined by Quality and Reliability Manager.

Primary Objectives:

  • Board assembly programming and functional test execution.
  • Failed board circuit troubleshooting, repair, and associated data collection/reporting
  • Participation with functional verification/acceptance of board & subassembly text fixtures
  • Sustaining maintenance & calibration of manufacturing test fixtures
  • Recommendation of manufacturing test fixture improvements driving yield improvement
  • Identification & communication of negative yield and repair action trends requiring analysis.
  • Follow production material control and disposition methods, policies and practices.
  • Participate in new product development to define, plan, detail project execution actions.
  • Perform product failure analysis including circuit troubleshooting.
  • Maintain expected progress of jobs in area of assignment and effectively identify and communicate problem areas.
  • Work in a timely manner to ensure customer needs are fulfilled, deadlines are met and meet expected productivity goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Assoc. Degree required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. (IE, ET, Other)
  • 5-7 years work experience with product repair/service, complex electronic products (field or factory)
  • Advanced skill in reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and engineering drawings.
  • Advanced skill in performing electromechanical system troubleshooting and repair to subassembly and component level.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task across a variety of repair jobs
