Position Overview:

As the Director of Corporate Development, you will lead our M&A efforts, focusing on identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic transactions that support our expansion plans. Reporting directly to the CEO and with exposure to private equity sponsors, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end M&A process and ensuring successful integration of acquired companies. Remote candidates may be considered for this role.


Key Responsibilities:

Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A):

  • Lead the identification and evaluation of potential acquisition targets, conducting thorough due diligence to assess strategic fit, financial performance, and integration complexity.
  • Develop financial models and valuation analyses to support decision-making and negotiation strategies during the transaction process.
  • Drive negotiations with sellers and counterparties, ensuring alignment of objectives and terms to maximize value creation opportunities.


Integration Planning and Execution:

  • Develop comprehensive integration plans for acquired companies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of operations, systems, and cultures.
  • Establish integration governance structures and processes to track progress, mitigate risks, and achieve synergy targets post-transaction.
  • Provide leadership and support to integration teams, driving accountability and alignment with integration objectives and timelines.


Investor Relations and Private Equity Engagement:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for private equity sponsors, providing regular updates on M&A activities, integration progress, and financial performance.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and materials for private equity investors and other stakeholders, articulating the strategic rationale and value proposition of M&A transactions.
  • Support fundraising efforts and investor communications, ensuring transparency and alignment with investor expectations.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with finance, legal, operations, and other functional teams to execute M&A transactions and integration initiatives effectively.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams involved in due diligence, integration planning, and post-transaction execution activities.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across the organization.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or related fields, with a strong track record of executing M&A transactions and leading integration efforts.
  • Deep understanding of M&A processes, including due diligence, deal structuring, negotiation, and integration planning and execution.
  • Strong financial acumen, with proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and synergy analysis.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and align stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to drive results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.


Location:

This position is based at our headquarters in Orlando, FL. Remote candidates may be considered.
