JOB SUMMARY

ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN SUPPORT REPRESENTATIVE:

We are looking for a talented individual to add to our existing electronic technician team. The right person will assist in testing, evaluating, modifying, and repairing electronic components including motherboards, video monitors and various peripheral devices. They will also assist in telephone support diagnostics for offsite system and equipment for both our amusement and gaming products. Organizational skills are highly important in this role as they are needed to accurately record data. Applicants must have clear communication skills, and the ability to interact well with others both inter and intra-departmentally.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluate, troubleshoot, and repair electronic gaming equipment

• Determine root cause of failure for customer returns and in process failures

• Maintain and adapt test benches as needs evolve

• Work in a team environment alongside engineering to discuss procedures and any changes that may be required to ensure quality of product

• Record quality data to track problems and trends

• Load/program firmware to gaming peripherals and test peripherals

• Test and refurbish monitors ranging from small touch screens to large format displays

• Perform other related duties as assigned


REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams to perform analysis and repair

• Proficient with DMM, oscilloscope, and basic hand tools

• Exhibit strong problem-solving and intrapersonal skills

• Experience creating and maintaining processes/procedures

• Strong communication and technical writing skills

• Self-starter with a high aptitude for learning new systems is required

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office365 and Teams

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Oracle E-Business Suite experience a plus but not required

• Candidate must demonstrate excellent typing and keyboard skills

• Problem Solving: Need to be able to identify issues and make corrective measures to fix problems with electronic components

• Proficient at reading and understanding schematics and wiring Diagrams to be able to solve problems associated with electronic components

• Use Deductive Reasoning to look at problems, isolate the issue and solve the problem

• Must have excellent manual dexterity: Good Soldering skills. Work with hand tools used for wiring and terminating cables. Experience working with multiple types of cable connectors

• Knowledge and experience working with cable harnesses

• Experience with updating Software and firmware on various Peripheral devices

• Conduct hardware testing – Flat Screen Monitors, Motherboards and other peripherals such as printer devices

• Proficient documenting and recording failure data and other required data collection

• Proficient Keyboard and typing skills

• Excellent Verbal and written communication

• Excels at working in a team environment



EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• 1-3 years’ experience in electronics repair, soldering, assembly of circuits.

• Degree in electronics or years of applicable work experience.

• Previous experience with electronic gaming and slot machines preferred but not required
