THE CANDIDATE:

Shields Health is seeking a dynamic Sales Representative to join our growing team. This role is crucial for expanding our presence in the medical research sector, specifically related to MRI and PET/CT studies. The successful candidate will build and nurture relationships with academia, research institutions, and companies engaged in cutting-edge research and development.


THE ROLE:

• Identify and target potential clients conducting relevant research that requires MRI or PET/CT imaging studies.

• Understand and analyze clients' research needs to offer appropriate and effective solutions.

• Engage with decision-makers and influencers within the research community to build trust and secure new partnerships.

• Work closely with existing and potential clients, including sales visits where you provide and fully explain marketing materials presented during the visit.

• Invite potential and existing clients to educational lunches, dinners or social/recreational events. Coordinate and facilitate educational seminars and conferences for internal staff and/or for the referring community.

• Offer continuous client support to ensure successful product adaptation and utilization.

• Work closely with internal teams to develop custom solutions that align with client research objectives.

• Monitor market trends and competitor movements to capture new opportunities in research program expansion.

• Achieve set sales goals set by management, focused on increasing client engagement and maximizing revenue growth.

• Submit call reports to your reporting manager and update competitive report on a regular basis.

• Retrieve and respond to voicemail messages regularly throughout the day. Retrieve and respond to email messages on a regular basis, but at least once daily

• Responsible for accurate and timely expense reporting


ABOUT YOU:

• B.A. or B.S., concentration in Business, Economics, Healthcare Administration or Marketing. Healthcare related Associate Degree and healthcare experience would be considered.

• Proven sales experience, minimum of 2 years, with a record of accomplishment of meeting or exceeding targets.

• Strong knowledge of the medical field, with a preference given to those knowledgeable about or with experience in diagnostic imaging.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to interact with business and medical professionals effectively.

• The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work a flexible work schedule, which at times will involve evenings and weekends

• Established relationships within the Medical Research Industry or the ability to develop such networks quickly

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

• Ability to utilize computer and telephone systems.

• Ability to drive a motor vehicle for short or long periods.

• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 20 pounds.

• Proof of valid driver’s license and automobile insurance or a reliable transportation plan. Employee is responsible for making employer aware of status change of license, insurance or transportation plan.
