Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior Accountant to maintain and manage our financial records, working closely with both the local team and European headquarters.



Position Overview

As a Sr. Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role supporting our client’s US branch by maintaining the company's financial records, ensuring the accuracy of financial entries, and preparing complex financial reports. The successful candidate will work closely with both the local finance team and the headquarters' finance team to create and analyze financial reports, predict future revenues and expenses, and ensure that cost data is allocated correctly.

The office hours are 8 AM – 4:30 PM. Office location is in West Caldwell, NJ



Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record Maintenance: Accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
  • Financial Reporting: Collaborate with the Finance team to create and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Ledger Management: Ensure the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts, suppliers ledger and customers ledger, reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.
  • Financial Statements Preparation: Prepare complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
  • Cost Examination: Examine and review unusual cost records, ensuring cost data is allocated correctly.
  • Compliance and Accuracy: Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures and maintain accurate financial records.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in BA, Accounting, or similar field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting.
  • Basic knowledge of cost and revenue accounting.
  • Proficiency with any ERP systems, and Excel (including advanced functions).
  • Strong multitasking ability with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience in a self-directed, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Eligibility to work in the US without visa sponsorship.


Salary range is $85K-95K plus Holiday bonus (up to one month salary paid in early December)

Medical insurance (Aetna) paid 100% by employer, deductible paid by employer (HRA Plan). Dental, vision, 4 weeks off, 401K.
