LHH is looking to hire a Controller for an onsite role located in Chicago. This role presents a unique chance to leverage your financial and accounting expertise while playing a pivotal part in strategic and operational decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial analyses and reports.
- Coordinate accounting functions and programs.
- Develop revenue projections and forecast expenditures.
- Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
- Contribute to the development of new or updated accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
- Assist with annual audit preparations and address audit findings, account discrepancies, and non-compliance issues.
- Prepare federal, state, local, and special tax returns.
- Managing the month-end close process, including account reconciliations and related journal entries.
- Preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Experience managing a companies books.
- Proficiency in GAAP.
- Managerial experience required
- Prior experience as a Controller, ideally out of healthcare industry or had healthcare clients in public.
