The Director, Finance Role:

The Director, Finance is accountable for managing accounting operations including, but not limited to: monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, financial statement consolidation and preparation, delegation of tasks among Finance team, review and reconciliation of transactions bookings by Finance team. This position assists Chief Financial Officer with financial reporting, internal and external audit, tax compliance, annual budget preparation and rollout, monthly budget vs actual analysis, margin analysis and rolling forecast, cost control, ERP implementation and integration, PO system implementation, cash and capital assets management. The Director, Finance is the key lead in assisting the CFO with financial support to all departments across the organization as well as the Board of Directors.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Review ledger balances at month-end and analyze any discrepancies and variances.
  • Prepare labor and overhead allocations.
  • Assist with payroll tax compliances and various Federal, State, Foreign tax calculations and reporting.
  • Review journal entries, AR/AP transactions, and trial balances prepared by Finance staff.
  • Prepare monthly trial balances for VP FINANCE review.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
  • Assist with cash flow management and treasury functions.
  • Generate month-end financial reports for CFO timely and accurately.
  • Assist in preparation of annual budget in collaboration with all functional departments.
  • Oversee 1099/1096s and other tax documents preparation as required. Ensure compliance with tax filings, reports, and payments.
  • Assist with financial audit and tax returns preparation in conjunction with PCMA external auditors.
  • Perform financial analysis and any other special projects as needed.
  • Finance lead in managing ERP; maintenance and upgrade of any other financial, budget, and reporting systems.
  • Maintain the integration between ERP and CRM systems. Evaluate business needs for updates and resource allocation.
  • Assist with maintaining Accounting Policies and Procedures. Ensure compliance with PO system for proper levels of authorization in vendor billing and expenditures.
  • Manage AR aging and collection. Allocate resources for prompt collections of customer invoices due.
  • Initiate new accounting and operational procedures to improve efficiency and strive for best practices.


You will bring with you to this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other business-related field
  • CPA certification required
  • 5-7 years or more accounting/Finance experience
  • Excellent computer software and database skills
  • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting, accounting systems, financial management, forecasting, planning, budgeting and operational policies and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to coach and empower staff to achieve goals and objectives.


Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions

  • Ability to perform work utilizing a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time in performing the work.
  • Ability to travel by air or ground transportation as required in performing the work.
