Skills & Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience deploying and managing systems using Amazon Web Services
  • 2+ years' experience deploying infrastructure as code using Terraform (or CloudFormation)
  • 2+ years' experience using CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure deployment (bitbucket, github, or similar)
  • 2+ years' experience working with a serverless framework (or similar like AWS SAM) to deploy software
  • Working knowledge of the requirements of PCI-DSS, GDPR, etc., and preferably experience with audits
  • Deep understanding of AWS networking (VPCs, subnets, security groups, route tables, internet gateways, NAT gateways, NACLs)
  • Deep understanding of IAM policies
  • Deep understanding of DNS, Route53, and domain management
  • Experience with KMS and Certificate Manager
  • Extensive experience with Linux server management, bash scripting, SSH keys, MFA, cron, apache config and log files
  • Experience deploying serverless applications with Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, CloudFront, and the Serverless Framework


Responsibilities

  • Build and manage AWS infrastructure using best practices in security, scalability, high availability, and performance
  • Build and maintain AWS infrastructure as code using CloudFormation templates and CI/CD pipelines
  • Manage logs, monitoring, alerts, and dashboards
  • Track and manage system and software patches and upgrades
  • Ensure systems security and compliance with PCI, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.
  • Liase with vendors, consultants, auditors, and internal departments
