Your Role:

As a Commercial Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial accounts, ensuring clients receive excellent service and the right coverage solutions. You will play a crucial role in supporting clients through the policy lifecycle, providing proactive communication, and identifying opportunities to enhance client satisfaction and retention. If you excel in managing relationships, possess a deep understanding of commercial insurance, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment, this role is for you.

Job Roles & Responsibilities


Account Management & Client Service

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned commercial accounts, ensuring timely and effective communication with clients.
  • Address client inquiries, and manage endorsements, renewals, and claims precisely and quickly.
  • Review client portfolios regularly, ensuring adequate coverage and identifying opportunities for cross-selling or up-selling additional products.


Client Retention & Satisfaction

  • Manage the renewal process, proactively identifying coverage gaps and presenting alternative solutions to maintain high client retention rates.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and coverage assessments with clients to enhance satisfaction and ensure proper risk management.


Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with underwriters, claims specialists, and sales teams to deliver seamless service and ensure the best outcomes for clients.
  • Provide input on client needs, market trends, and service improvements to management.


Documentation & Compliance

  • Ensure accurate documentation of client interactions, policies, and changes within the agency management system.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory requirements to provide compliant and relevant coverage solutions.


Sales Support & Strategy

  • Assist Account Executives with new business development by supporting sales presentations, providing coverage recommendations, and preparing proposals.
  • Contribute to the growth of Benchmark’s market share by actively identifying leads and referring prospects.
