Director of Systems Architecture

As the Director of Systems Architecture, you will play a vital role in our team, collaborating with talented and dynamic professionals. You will oversee the development and administration of our Enterprise systems, including ERP, CRM, HRIS, CLM, and other tools. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and implement an architecture strategy in a collaborative and innovative environment. You will help enable, accelerate, and empower our partners, ensuring they deliver top-tier solutions for their customers.


Your day will be dynamic and offer many opportunities to contribute to our mission. Here’s a glimpse of what your typical day could look like:

  • Reviewing current systems and exploring ways to improve their functionality, as well as coordinating the development of training materials for internal users.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams like Accounting, Sales, Client Operations, People & Culture, IT, Business Operations, Legal, and other business units to understand their requirements, gather feedback, and strategize solutions that align with business goals for current or upcoming features.
  • Leading meetings with various teams to track deliverables related to system updates or new configurations, and helping resolve any blockers to meet timelines.
  • Providing leadership by overseeing and delegating tasks from a ticket queue, ensuring technical support for key system issues and data inquiries.
  • Working closely with key stakeholders and partners across the team to design reports and dashboards within our Enterprise Systems or other reporting tools to deliver insights into various metrics and trends.
  • Driving the strategy to document and design the system architecture and functionality for end users or team members.
  • Staying informed about industry trends, best practices, and new features in System Architecture and Reporting, proactively identifying areas to improve processes and enhance systems with new features.
  • Offering mentorship and coaching to one or more Enterprise Systems team members to ensure effective task execution and team development.


Qualifications:

  • Holds a Bachelor's degree, ideally in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Has proven experience leading the design, configuration, testing, and post-implementation support for multiple systems, including integrations, data conversion, security configuration, documentation, report building, and change management communication.
  • Has comprehensive experience with two or more of the following systems: Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, Ironclad, Tableau Server.
  • Holds certifications such as NetSuite ERP Consultant, Salesforce Data Architect, or Workday pro (preferred).
  • Possesses a strong understanding of various business processes, including operations, legal, HR, and accounting.
  • Understands the full systems technology landscape and how it connects multiple business systems in an ecosystem (e.g., ERP, Learning Management, Finance, CRM, HRIS, CLM).
  • Has a demonstrated history of system architecture design for growing organizations.
  • Has managed roadmaps for multiple systems simultaneously.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Is familiar with US and global data privacy laws, GDPR, and compliance.
  • Can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Has a keen understanding of finance, HR, legal, and general business processes, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Can manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced setting, remaining agile in ambiguous situations.


We typically seek candidates with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in this field. Additionally, experience in a holding company or start-up environment is a plus.
