Quality Assurance Manager

LHH has partnered with a transportation company in North Houston to hire their next Quality Manager. This role involves comprehensive Quality management across multiple divisions, emphasizing attention to detail. Responsibilities include overseeing ISO compliance, document management, audits, claims, nonconformances, and training. The position also drives continuous improvement by updating procedures, work instructions, forms, and processes. Close collaboration with process owners and managers ensures up-to-date and valid documentation. Additionally, the manager handles certifications and customer audits, covering ISO 9001, RCMS, C-TPAT, cGMP, and all customer surveillance visits.


Your Role:

  1. Management Representative for Audits: Act as the point person for all audits.
  2. Annual Executive Management Reviews: Schedule and facilitate these reviews.
  3. ISO Audits Management: Oversee ISO audits and ensure closure of findings.
  4. Quality Management Systems: Manage compliance, including documentation and internal/external audits.
  5. Internal Audits: Coordinate and conduct internal audits, document findings, and implement corrective actions.
  6. External Audits: Participate in certification and other external audits, coordinate responses to findings, and maintain certifications.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, industrial science or statistics, PLUS
  • 5+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance with progressive responsibility


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of logistics processes for chemical transport
  • Six Sigma Certification and/or agile methodology experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of ISO 9001
