Job Title: Waterproofing Superintendent


Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Waterproofing Superintendent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing field staff, all aspects of waterproofing projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a thorough understanding of waterproofing techniques and materials.


Responsibilities:

1. Plan, organize, and supervise waterproofing projects from start to finish.

2. Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other team members to ensure smooth project execution.

3. Conduct site inspections to assess project requirements and identify potential challenges.

4. Develop and implement waterproofing strategies and methodologies to achieve project goals.

5. Manage project schedules and budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness.

6. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe work environment at all times.

7. Train and mentor crew members on proper waterproofing techniques and procedures.

8. Monitor project progress and quality of workmanship, addressing any issues or deviations from plans.

9. Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns or questions.

10. Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and change orders.

11. Attend preconstruction and coordination meetings with clients.


Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a Waterproofing Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.

2. Strong knowledge of waterproofing methods, materials, and equipment.

3. Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a team.

4. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and team members.

5. Solid understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices.

6. Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

7. Problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome challenges.

8. Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

9. OSHA certification and other relevant training or certifications are a plus.


Education:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.

- Additional training or certification in construction management or related field preferred.
