Lead Machinist

Fall River, United States Employbridge Full time

Compensation: $26-32.00 per Hour (based on experience)

Expected Hours: 50-55 hours per week

Shift: 2nd shift; 3:30 P.M. to 2:00 A.M. Monday - Friday.


Job Duties:

• Supervise the CNC machine operators to ensure safety, quality, and the efficiency of production.

• Change cutting tools when necessary.

• Inspect parts for dimensions and visual defects.

• Monitor the inspection reports from the CMM and adjust machining when necessary.

• Work with Maintenance Technician(s) on machine issues and repair.


Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in CNC machining, with at least one year in a supervisory or leadership role.

• Must have basic knowledge of cutting tools and cutting tool nomenclature.

• Must have knowledge of tool geometry and ability to make offsets.

• Must possess basic blueprint reading skills.

• Must possess basic hand tool measuring experience (I.E: calipers, micrometers, depth mics and bore gages).

• Experience with Fanuc and Okuma CNC controls is a plus.

• Experience with robots is a plus.

• Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) is a plus.
