Basic Function

Perform all CNC operations in order to produce high volume parts in a cost-effective manner.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Program and operate OmniTurn CNC controller and lathe equipment.

· Create programs for OmniTurn machines based off blueprints and gauging equipment.

· Work with a variety of PVC pipe and related materials.

· Perform proper maintenance on equipment.

· Maintain proper paperwork and documentation.

· Maintain acceptable reject, scrap and production rates.

· Inspect completed parts.

· Complete preventative maintenance tasks on all scheduled tools and equipment on-time.

· Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to make efficiencies in the work area.

· Understand and comply with all HSE, Compliance and other Company Policies.

· Must know Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality System Manual, Operating and technical procedures and work instructions as it applies to the position.

· Perform various other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager within the physical constraints of the position.

Required Skills

· 2+ years of manufacturing experience working with production equipment

· At least 5 years’ experience CNC Machining, OmniTurn experience preferred.

· Two year technical degree in CNC Machinist or equivalent or completed apprenticeship program.

· Have good communication skills.

· Ability to train other team members.

· Ability to work as a team or independently.

· Possess a positive attitude

· Ability to read and comprehend written instructions

· Ability to read and interpret drawings and prints.

· Ability to do basic math i.e. add/subtract whole numbers, decimals & fractions.

· Ability to use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, etc. with accuracy.

· Ability to make decisions independently with limited supervision.
