Jing-Jin Electric North America is seeking a Material Planning and Logistics Manager to join our team

Main Duties & Responsibilities：

  • Develop the current Material Planning & Logistics organization with the proper organizational structure, team members and tools.
  • Provide direction for the development and implementation of strategic initiatives related to Supply Chain & Logistics infrastructure and functional activities.
  • Strategize, plan and integrate with Manufacturing to forecast demand, issue blanket releases, drive on-time shipments, maintain proper min/max inventory levels, including safety stock and service parts.
  • Drive compliance with all of JJE’s standards, OSHA, EPA, Ergonomics, etc.
  • Manage and control the MP&L budget and work with Purchasing to reduce costs.
  • Track and report weekly on performance metrics, provide data and recommendations to support improvements in operational performance and response levels including inventory accuracy, days on hand, customer ASN accuracy, expedited freight, on time deliveries, customer scores, etc.
  • Design the ERP supply chain process flow and manage the deployment and debug while maintaining current system until fully launched.
  • Lead the Plan For Every Part (PFEP) activity.
  • Lead team members by knowledge transfer and open communication; evaluate and encourage feedback by role modelling and always driving engagement.
  • Define the freight and warehousing network to improve and reduce costs with 3PL providers.
  • Lead the warehouse, logistic, material planning and packaging areas.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, working with Purchasing Management and Buyers to ensure the production BOM availability and supply standards remain high, reliable and consistent.


Education & Experience：

  • Academic degree：Bachelor’s Degree
  • Major：Supply Chain Management, Logistics, BA or related field required
  • Language：English
  • Years of industry experience: 7+ years
  • Years of management experience: 5+ years preferred

  • Experienced work in multiple functions in auto industry
  • The ability to handle multiple priorities, work well under pressure and meet deadlines at a startup
  • Highly numerate and literate; advanced verbal and written communication capability; competent user of current computer and communications systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging with and influencing colleagues from the top to the bottom; meeting with customers; demonstrates inspirational behavior.
  • The ability to handle multiple priorities, work well under pressure and meet deadlines at a startup.
  • Must be flexible with schedule as needed.


Computer, and office software skills are required:

Fundamental understanding & experience of ERP systems & processes to deliver material availability objectives and provide recommendations to key stakeholders to develop and strengthen the supply chain

  • Preferred experience with implementing new ERP systems including defining requirements, debugging and managing back up during the process
  • Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Power point
