Senior Manager of Data Analytics

Summary:

Our client is seeking a highly technical Senior Manager of Data Analytics to serve as a key IT partner to various corporate business areas. This individual will drive the development of data solutions that align with business goals and timelines. The role involves overseeing both onshore and offshore teams responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining analytics solutions, as well as collaborating closely with business partners to deliver high-quality data insights.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation of data analytics platforms, tools, and solutions
  • Assist in developing a comprehensive Corporate Data Strategy, including leveraging ETL, data warehousing, data marts, and enterprise analytics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy analytical solutions that drive insights
  • Maintain effective working relationships with project stakeholders and end users
  • Ensure timely and effective solution delivery in line with service level agreements
  • Participate in enterprise data governance activities and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Build strong relationships with data vendors to support ongoing solution needs
  • Recommend process improvements to support software development efforts
  • Manage project planning and execution to meet resource and timeline goals
  • Oversee all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Recommend and oversee audits to ensure adherence to standards and regulations
  • Lead, coach, and evaluate performance of team members, both onshore and offshore
  • Handle multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines effectively
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience leading teams with both local and offshore members
  • Expertise with data movement tools (such as IBM Data Stage, Informatica, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Cognos, PowerBI, Qlik, Microsoft SSRS)
  • Experience working with various database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, MongoDB, Amazon Aurora, etc.)
  • Proficiency with scripting languages like Microsoft SSIS and Oracle PL/SQL
  • Knowledge of Big Data architectures and tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Cloudera, AWS stack)
  • Hands-on experience with programming languages like Python, Scala, or R
  • Experience with predictive analytics and forecasting techniques
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering results
  • Exceptional communication skills for collaboration across all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize competing objectives in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Agile software development methodology
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentorship skills
  • Ability to develop and contribute to IT strategies and enterprise technical architectures
