Job Description

An immediate opportunity is available for an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager specializing in construction at a water treatment facility in Richland, WA. The EHS Manager will work for a General Contractor overseeing all phases of the construction project. Ideal candidates will hold relevant credentials (e.g., BS, MS, OSHA 30, OSHA 510, OSHA 500, ASP, GSP, CSP, CHST, STSC) and have extensive construction safety experience.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Environmental, Health, and Safety compliance across the project.
  • Conduct documented daily EHS inspections to uphold safety standards.
  • Deliver site-specific EHS orientations for project personnel.
  • Assist with coordinating heavy equipment and crane activities.
  • Participate in the daily Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) process.
  • Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Partner with project leadership to facilitate an injury-free workplace.
  • Analyze leading and lagging safety indicators to identify trends and address concerns proactively.
  • Review and develop EHS plans as needed.
  • Verify that craft workers are properly trained and qualified for their tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Construction Manager's EHS professionals to align safety goals.
  • Deliver EHS training modules tailored to project requirements.
  • Assist in managing a positive reinforcement safety program.


Required Minimum Requirements:


  • 5+ years of construction safety experience and an OSHA 30-hour certification, OR
  • 3+ years of construction safety experience with a BCSP certification or an EHS-related degree.
