Job Description:

Rica Surgical Products, Inc., a division of Pacific Surgical and a supplier to the medical device and animal health markets, is looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator. As an ISO 13485-compliant company, we prioritize quality in all operations. You will manage procurement activities to ensure timely, cost-effective acquisition of goods, and provide customer service support as needed. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

Purchasing Coordination (Primary):


  • Manage purchasing, including sourcing, evaluating suppliers, negotiating, and placing orders.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 procedures.
  • Monitor inventory and coordinate with internal teams for timely replenishment.
  • Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and supplier data.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.
  • Address order, delivery, or invoice issues.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and streamline procurement.
  • Prepare purchasing reports for management.


Customer Service Support (Secondary):


  • Provide backup customer service support during peak times.
  • Assist with inquiries on orders, product availability, and shipping.
  • Handle customer complaints and ensure timely resolutions.
  • Process customer orders and maintain accurate data.
  • Support the business development team with inventory and lead time information.


Qualifications:


  • Experience in purchasing or procurement.
  • Knowledge of quality system requirements in purchasing.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with QuickBooks or similar software.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
