PRODUCTION DESIGNER (Full-Time) at Likely Inc.

At Likely Inc., we're on the lookout for a seasoned Production Designer who possesses a comprehensive understanding of the technical aspects of packaging design. This role demands not only proficiency in design software but also an innate ability to navigate the complexities of packaging production, from dieline creation to vendor follow-up.


Summary:

As the Production Designer at Likely Inc., you will collaborate closely with our Operations Managers, and Lead Designer, to translate creative concepts into print and digital-ready assets. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that all designs meet technical specifications while maintaining creative integrity. We're seeking an individual with meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:


1. Technical Expertise:

  • Develop accurate dielines and technical layouts for various packaging formats, incorporating industry standards and product specifications.
  • Create print-ready production files, ensuring color accuracy, resolution, and compatibility with different printing processes.
  • Oversee the execution of different finishes, such as embossing, gold foil, and spot colors, to enhance packaging aesthetics.


2. Collaboration and Project Management:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide technical guidance throughout the design process.
  • Review all art files for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.


3. Production Oversight and Sample Assessment:

  • Conduct quality checks on prototypes and samples.
  • Ensure standards of excellence are maintained.
  • Provide feedback for improvement when necessary.


Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in production design, with a focus on packaging.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Thorough understanding of CMYK and spot color systems, as well as pre-press and digital production processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for design aesthetics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Previous experience in consumer product brands or packaging design agencies is preferred.

Job Details:

  • Compensation: $24.00 per hour
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9-5 pm
