Our client, a cutting-edge battery company with a focus on green energy, is looking for an Logistics Specialist to join their team and help build their latest state of the art facility in Texas.

Job Summary:

Forge Consulting Group is recruiting a Logistics Specialist for our client in the chemical industry. This role is responsible for overseeing supply chain processes, including the transportation, storage, and handling of materials, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance and safety. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in cost management and operational efficiency while ensuring the highest standards of safety and adherence to industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Material Inventory Management:

  • Monitor material flow, maintain inventory accuracy, and optimize inventory levels for efficiency.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations, especially regarding the handling of hazardous materials.

Safety Management:

  • Develop and implement safety protocols and emergency response plans to protect employees and the community.

Cost Management:

  • Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives without compromising compliance or safety standards.

Incident Response:

  • Lead incident response efforts to minimize potential damage and liability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and EHS teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, International Trade, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of logistics experience, with a preference for international logistics expertise.
  • Proficiency in logistics management software such as TMS and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in logistics specific to the chemical industry.
  • Familiarity with regulations related to hazardous materials transportation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead safety initiatives and emergency response planning.
