Supply Chain Specialist

Duration: 12 Months

Location: Dexter, MI.

Start Date: September 18, 1:30 PM CST

Schedule: On-site, Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM (with a 1-hour lunch break). Saturdays as needed.


Position Overview: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Supply Chain Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in managing supplier relationships, project planning, and effective communication. This role requires a hands-on approach to MRP planning, inventory management, and order processing.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. MRP Planning & Purchase Requisition Execution: Manage material requirements planning and execute purchase requisitions to ensure timely procurement of materials.
  2. Inventory Management: Assist in overseeing inventory levels, including materials and supplies, to optimize stock levels and ensure availability.
  3. Order Creation & Closure: Support internal manufacturing processes by managing order creation and closure, ensuring seamless operations.

  2. Project Planning: Demonstrated skill in initiating, organizing, and driving projects and initiatives from start to finish.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (preferred).


Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in supply chain management or a related field.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Material Sourcing & Scheduling: Source, purchase, and plan the movement of raw materials, components, and finished goods through production and inventory processes.
  • Requirement Identification: Identify and analyze requirements from engineering and production specifications.
  • Cost Analysis: Evaluate data to determine factors affecting prices and ensure cost-effective purchasing without compromising quality or schedule.
  • Coordination & Follow-Up: Coordinate with production, warehouse, and engineering teams to ensure efficient procurement, scheduling, and material movement. Stay informed on price trends and manufacturing processes.
