JOB SUMMARY:

The Donor Relations Coordinator is a full-time position focused on development, planning, organizing, and management of fundraising activities under the supervision of the Executive Director. The Donor Relations Coordinator will lead the annual giving efforts and stewardship of individual donors by setting strategy and executing fundraising plans for sustaining and growing the number of annual donors, the size of individual donations, and converting annual donors to major donors and sustaining supporters. The Donor Relations Coordinator will support fundraising efforts to meet revenue goals and ensure appropriate stewardship of existing donors while cultivating new relationships. Some travel may be required.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify, cultivate, solicit and build relationships with current and potential donors for the organization.
  • Research and qualify current and prospective individual donors and create comprehensive donor prospect profiles; identify donors ready to move to the major donor level
  • Develop and implement strategies that will grow annual revenue from individuals and sponsors; manage and monitor all annual appeal campaigns, giving initiatives, fundraising events, and outreach
  • Oversee the development acknowledgements on website and in newsletters; work with marketing staff for appropriate fundraising messaging and donor recognition collateral
  • Monitor revenue and manage expenses related to fundraising and giving events
  • Provide monthly reports and progress updates to the Executive Director relating to fundraising initiatives and goals
  • Develop and implement fundraising initiatives with clear objectives and timelines
  • Maintain accurate records of donor engagement, communications, gift processing, fulfillment of donor benefits, gift recognition, and mailings
  • Represent Meals on Wheels of Sarasota at designated functions.
  • Participate in internal training opportunities as well as external conferences and seminars to enhance professional development.
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior non-profit fundraising experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of effective fundraising and fundraising ethics.
  • Demonstrated success in building, managing relationships, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors.
  • Proven ability to plan strategically and to successfully execute fundraising events.
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, Constant Contact, WordPress, and Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills including networking and public speaking.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple and varied tasks and projects.
  • Goal and results motivated.
  • Superb organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and planning capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects within designated timelines while delivering high-quality results.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information.


SCHEDULE: 7:30am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday, some evenings as necessary.
