Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE)

Location: Murrysville, PA


Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and committed Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to support plant and line transfers, focusing on supplier collaboration and process alignment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in generating protocols, creating checklists for audits, and working closely with suppliers, specifically Kimball, to ensure adherence to Philips' procedures. This role requires a proactive professional who can drive quality initiatives and support incoming inspections.


Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Collaboration:

Partner with suppliers, specifically Kimball, to align quality processes with Philips’ procedures.

Ensure cross-verification and alignment of protocols between Philips and suppliers to maintain quality standards.


Plant and Line Transfer Support:

Provide quality oversight for plant and line transfers, ensuring that all quality requirements are met.

Develop and implement quality protocols and procedures to facilitate seamless plant and line transfers.


Protocol Generation and Compliance:

Create detailed protocols for quality assurance and control, ensuring they meet regulatory and organizational requirements.

Design and maintain checklists to support audits and inspections.

Collaborate with suppliers to verify that protocols are understood and followed accurately.


Auditing and Quality Control:

Develop audit checklists and conduct supplier audits to assess compliance with Philips' standards.

Implement quality assurance processes for incoming inspections and ensure all components meet required specifications.


Supplier Development and Issue Resolution:

Work closely with suppliers to identify areas for quality improvement and develop action plans to address gaps.

Support the resolution of quality issues by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.


Documentation and Reporting:

Document all quality-related activities, protocols, and audit findings thoroughly and accurately.

Provide regular updates and reports to management on supplier performance and quality status.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field.

5+ years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer, with a focus on plant and line transfers.

Proven experience in generating protocols and collaborating with suppliers.

Strong knowledge of quality assurance processes and supplier management.

Familiarity with working with Kimball or similar suppliers is highly preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Ability to create detailed protocols, checklists, and audit documentation.


Preferred Skills:

Experience in the medical device or healthcare industry is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Familiarity with Philips' procedures and quality standards is advantageous.
