We are recruiting a Construction Project Engineer in Houston, TX for a growing, national Construction and Roofing company with over 20 locations.


The Project Engineer we are seeking has a history of construction project and program management and will join a talented and experienced team.

  • deadline and detail oriented?
  • an anlyzer and critical thinker?
  • familiar with general contracting procedures?
  • knowledgeable of estblished construction and maintenance practices, prodcedures and techniques, building codes and legislation?
  • proficient in software such as: Procore, PM Management, Bidding, Building, Connected, Pipeline Suite, Schedule, Microsoft Project, Blue Beam, Document Controls and Adobe Acrobat?
  • good with negiations?


What does this Project Engineer do?

  • Work with Operations and a Project Manager to support the project during the buyout process.
  • They will address schedules for subcontractors.
  • Assist in preparation of subcontract Scope of Work, by reviewig drawings and specifications.
  • Review contract documents and idenfity gaps in the systems.
  • Maintain and assist the PM with preparation of Weekly Project Updates
  • Identifiy lead times for material purchases, tracking delivery dates
  • Uses Procore for project documentation
  • Generates subcontractor meeting agendas and minutes
  • Participates in Owner, Architect Contractor (OAC) Meetings
  • Assists project Superintendent with site safety
  • Distributes monthly project schedule as set by PM and Field Supervisor
  • Coordinates local city permit and utilities company requirements, related to the subcontractor and owner requirements
  • Performs pre-punch list walk thru with PM and Superintendent
  • Works with Accounting to close out financials
  • Works with PM to collect all close out documents
  • Enforces contract close-out timeline and notifies subcontractors of this

  • Subcontractor Change Order Log
  • RFI Log
  • Owner Change Order Log
  • Project Document List


Seeking a candidate with Bachelor's Degree and/or experience/training/some college of 5 years +.
