Assistant Trust Officer

Responsibilities
· Review and analyze monthly investment advisor performance
· Interface with investment advisors to manage client distributions and cash management
· Perform annual trust investment reviews
· Perform annual trust administrative reviews
· Prepare trust accounts for annual internal and regulatory audits
· Manage all client and trust information through proprietary trust management software
· Review all new trust documents to ensure they conform to South Dakota law
· Develop strong interpersonal relationships with all trust beneficiaries to better understand their needs and
personal issues
· Perform client onboarding and due diligence including OFAC and AML compliance
· Gather and manage tax compliance for all trusts on an annual basis
Qualifications
· Strong attention to detail
· Excellent communication skills
· Ability to follow-up in a timely manner
· Strong ability to multi-task
· Ability to work proactively and independently
· Organizational and problem-solving skills
· Knowledge with working with Salesforce and trust accounting software
· Legal, investment management, tax and accounting background to better manage book of trusts
· Ability to see beyond an isolated task or project and anticipate project outcomes and issues to improve ongoing
work habits.
