Front End + CMS Developer

Location: NYC (3 Days office)

Duration: 6+ Months


Job Summary:

Seeking a Front-End Developer with deep CMS experience to join a growing technology team for the world’s largest health coaching school. The position will be contract, of limited duration, and in-house.


Duties/Responsibilities:

• Contribute to our platform by leveraging your considerable javascript, css, and CMS (especially HubSpot) experience

• Strong experience with style guides and generalizing styles for reusability

• Develop HubSpot modules, sections, and templates with an eye toward reusability; build pages and new features

• Write modern css/sass that’s responsive and mobile-first; familiarity with common css layout techniques like Flexbox and Grid assumed.

• Help evolve front-end experiences using modern UI/UX best practices and understanding of compliance standards like ADA WCAG.

• Contribute to the overall software development ecosystem by recommending process changes, CI/CD practices, writing tests, and adhering to evolving standards.

• Perform frequent code reviews.


Required Skills/Abilities:

• BA/BS degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience.

• 3+ years’ experience with HubSpot or other CMS.

• 3+ years' experience with JavaScript.

• 3+ years’ experience with CSS, including sass or scss.

• Experience with issue/project management software (JIRA or similar).

• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.

• Strong collaborative instincts.

• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

• Proven time management skills to ensure that tasks and documents are delivered according to schedule .

• Strong working knowledge/experience with Agile methodologies and Git best practices.

• Demonstrated attention to detail.
