Job Title: POS Analyst I

Summary: Join our team as a POS Analyst I, where you'll assist in the development, maintenance, and support of our Point-of-Sale (POS) systems. You'll work closely with various stakeholders to ensure our POS systems meet business requirements and run smoothly. We’re looking for someone with strong analytical skills, a technical background, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of POS system enhancements and new functionalities.
  • Help develop and maintain a POS technology roadmap.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather and analyze requirements for POS system changes.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of cross-functional projects.
  • Support the integration of POS systems with other enterprise systems and customer-facing technology.
  • Provide 3rd level support for POS systems, troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
  • Conduct and coordinate end-user training sessions and develop training materials.
  • Create and maintain application documentation, including technical flow charts, process diagrams, end-user guides, FAQs, and change/configuration management documents.
  • Assist in the development of disaster recovery plans and procedures for POS systems.
  • Monitor POS system performance and conduct regular system audits to ensure data integrity and efficiency.
  • Prepare status reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Participate in developing and implementing POS system strategies and roadmaps.
  • Provide off-hours support as needed for mission-critical systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Point of Sales Products.


Qualifications:

  • Experience with POS systems, particularly Vista Group cinema software, including implementation, configuration, and support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with effective technical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in creating technical documentation and training materials.
  • Experience with system integration and data sharing between different enterprise systems.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.


Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to various audiences.
  • Effective decision-making skills, even under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with business unit staff and IT management.
