As a Field Sales Engineer working customers in the Petro-chemical industry you will perform the following responsibilities:


  • Drive key growth strategies & account management for customers in Petro-chemical Plants & Service Companies
  • Prospect & generate incremental business to new and existing customers
  • Perform on site product demonstrations and training for customers
  • Furnish written product and service recommendations and price quotations to prospective customers
  • Leverage Salesforce to reflect efforts to customer inquiries, responses, quotes, and increase sales
  • Evaluate and respond to incoming sales inquiries generated through advertising, referrals, and other marketing channels
  • Process customer product orders for machines and parts
  • Attend professional trade shows
  • Travel to Goodway HQ in Stamford, CT 1-2 times per quarter
  • Participate in product and application training sessions

Experience and Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree and 5-10+ years of sales experience to customers in the Petro-chemical industry
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a sensitivity to understand customer needs
  • Effective organizational and project management skills
  • Hands-on experience working with mechanical tools/equipment
  • Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM highly preferred


Compensation:

The total annual compensation for this role is in the $100-120K range commensurate with experience. Compensation includes a base salary with a commission package based on sales in your designated market and bonus opportunities for reaching stretch goals.
