We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Scientist to join our team. This role involves writing and executing system-related (hardware, software, and/or assay) verification and characterization protocols, supporting data package summaries, and maintaining adherence to the quality system. The ideal candidate will have a BS degree in biochemistry, chemistry, biology, or biomedical engineering. Experience within Abbott is preferred, but entry-level candidates (fresh graduates) are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Verification: Write and execute system-related (hardware, software, and/or assay) verification and characterization protocols. Support data package summaries in accordance with governing procedures.
- Instrument Operation and Repair: Perform basic operation of instruments and repairs at the customer-replaceable level.
- Troubleshooting Support: Provide basic troubleshooting across multiple system functions, including hardware, software, and assay performance issues.
- Data Analysis: Apply quantitative methods to analyze data, evaluate results, form conclusions, and provide and implement improvements.
- Collaboration: Work well with others in a collaborative, goal-driven environment.
- Quality System Adherence: Maintain adherence to the Quality System and ensure its effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Education: BS degree in biochemistry, chemistry, biology, or biomedical engineering.
- Experience: Some experience within is preferred. Entry-level candidates (fresh graduates) will also be considered.
