Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Robotics Engineer with a passion for robotics and advanced AI technologies. The candidate will work on innovative projects, contributing to the design and development of our next-generation synthetic robots. This is a role requiring reliable travel to our main facility in Nevada for 3-4 days a week, for a typical 8-hour shift (if need be).
Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for advanced robots using Onshape.
- Developing initial design concepts and ideas for new products or improvements to existing ones.
- Creating sketches, diagrams, 3D models, and drafts to visualize the design.
- Using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create detailed 2D and 3D models of mechanical components and assemblies.
- Utilize mechanical design engineering expertise to design robot components that duplicate the appearance and movement of human beings.
- Work closely with product engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and optimize robotic systems for continuous improvement.
- Performing calculations and simulations to assess the strength, durability, and performance of the design.
- Building and testing prototypes to validate the design and identify any issues.
- Making adjustments to the design based on test results and feedback.
- Ensuring the models are accurate and conform to design specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and functionality.
- Troubleshooting and resolving design issues during the development and production phases.
- Continuously improving designs to enhance performance, reduce costs, and increase manufacturability.
- Conduct research and integrate new technologies into the design process.
- Conduct research and development on new robotics technologies, including machine learning and CV algorithms for autonomous navigation and obstacle avoidance.
- Perform simulations, tests, and analyses to verify and optimize robotics systems' performance under various conditions.
- Provide technical guidance and support for deploying and operating robotics systems in the field.
- Participate in team meetings and design proposals with a proactive "Can do/Let's do it" attitude.
- Provide imaginative and optimistic recommendations for project improvements and new designs.
- Working with other engineers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure the design meets all requirements and constraints.
- Communicating effectively with manufacturing teams to ensure the design can be produced efficiently.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in robotics and related fields, incorporating cutting-edge technologies into realbotix’s products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- Previous experience with robotics is essential.
- Proficient in Onshape or other related CAD software.
- 4+ years of proven experience as a Robotics Engineer with expertise in AI.
- Passionate about companionship-based AI, adult entertainment, and robotics.
- Located in Nevada and able to reliably travel to our main facility 3-4 days a week.
- Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must have aligned motives for joining our company.
- Experience with robotic simulation and testing software.
- Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence applications in robotics.
- Experience with ML, computer vision, and deep learning algorithm
- Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools, including GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
