What you’ll be doing


Financial Results

  • Develop and manage the annual budget, forecasting operating expenses and labor costs changes.
  • Monitor and control expenses, including labor scheduling, utility costs, and other operational expenditures, to maintain profitability.
  • Administer company financial policies and procedures, ensuring proper handling of cash, credit transactions, and payroll
  • Address and correct budget variances, ensuring accurate reporting and corrective measures as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies for purchasing and financial transactions.

Revenue Management

  • Provide market analysis of competitors’ rates and local conditions to support revenue management strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Sales team to drive sales initiatives and support special events.
  • Ensure sales, front office, and reservation teams are informed about rate structures and yield management procedures.
  • Train front desk staff in revenue management, operational procedures, and current promotions.
  • Utilize assigned revenue management systems to optimize revenue and achieve financial targets.


Guest Satisfaction

  • Train and motivate staff to deliver exceptional guest service according to company standards.
  • Directly handle and resolve guest complaints, aiming to resolve issues before guests leave.
  • Oversee guest satisfaction programs, including managing frequent guest programs and responding to guest feedback.
  • Achieve high scores on satisfaction surveys and mystery shopper programs, addressing any deficiencies promptly.


Employee Engagement

  • Recruit, train, and manage associates to ensure high performance and job satisfaction.
  • Administer human resources policies, including payroll, personnel transactions, and fair treatment.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship, fostering professional growth and maintaining low turnover rates.
  • Conduct wage surveys and provide input on competitive wage offerings.
  • Foster an attentive service culture throughout the property.


Product Quality

  • Maintain the physical condition of the property to meet or exceed quality control standards.
  • Contribute to and manage capital expenditure plans, ensuring compliance with franchise standards and safety protocols.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance and quick-fix programs to ensure the property remains in excellent condition.
  • Address any quality issues identified through inspections and mystery shopper programs.


What you’ll bring along

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a General Manager or 5 years as an Assistant General Manager in a high-quality hospitality setting.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Capability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities as listed in the previous section.
  • Capacity to respond to multiple task interruptions and provide outstanding service to both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and use a computer effectively.
