Note: We are looking for someone skilled with both DB2 and Mongo DB. Hence, we need someone who has both skill.


MongoDB DBA

  • Experience in MongoDB Installation, configuration and administration for very large and complex databases in various MongoDB versions 3.4, 4.0, 4.4 and 6.0 .
  • Experience in designing MongoDB multi-sharded cluster and monitoring with Ops Manager.
  • Hands on experience on Create, Read, Update and Delete (CRUD) Operation.
  • Creating replica set (Arbiter, Priority, Hidden, Delayed nodes) & sharded clusters in MongoDB.
  • Proficient in upgrading various versions of Mongo database on different platforms.
  • Experience in managing multi - node MongoDB clusters.
  • Created aggregation queries for reporting and analysis.
  • Creation of Indexes (Single-Field, Compound, Unique, Multi-key index, Text & Hashed Sharding indexes).
  • Data Backup and recovery using Mongo dump, restore & Mongo export, import.
  • Refresh MongoDB data from staging to production and vice versa.
  • MQL Query tuning and optimization with appropriate index creation for effective processing.
  • Responsible for administration, maintenance, Performance analysis, and Capacity planning
  • Ensure the continuous availability of our mission critical MongoDB clusters using replication across data centers.
  • Performance tuning and indexing strategies using mongo utilities like Mongostat and Mongotop.
  • Installing OPSManager for mongodb

DB2 LUW DBA

  • Good experience in 24*7 production environment support
  • db2 installations and fix pack upgrades, instance and database creation
  • DB2 11.5 Version Migration and upgrades from prior versions
  • HADR server build and TSA installation, failovers and rolling upgrades.
  • Hands on DB2 DPF Environment (BACKUP/RESTORE)
  • Create and schedule jobs, such as Backups, Runstats, Reorgs and Table space monitoring etc.
  • Extensive exposure to DB2 Tools (db2look, db2pd, db2move, Load, Export, and Import)
  • Enabling the archive logging and configured database backups to Disk.
  • Troubleshooting Databases issues using db2diag, db2dart, db2support, snapshots
  • Granting / revoking various authorizations to different Users/Groups
  • Analyzing SQL Queries by using db2advis and creating indexes based on requirement.
  • IBM CDC replication tool (Change data capture)
  • Having good knowledge on Shell scripting
  • Experience in Problem & change management process
  • Good in Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Encryption configuration setup for DB2 filesystems

Add on Skills: Sybase and PostgreSQL database administration, Oracle DB upgrade experience will be an added advantage.
