CoWorx Staffing Services has an exciting opportunity to join one of our premier clients as a Human Resource Manager in the Sardis, MS area. Our client is expanding and has a lot of exciting growth opportunities. The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the routine Human Resources functions at the assigned branch/dept, including hiring and interviewing staff, ensuring administration of pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. The HR Manager will also handle employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Staffing:
- Oversee the recruitment and hiring process, including job postings, candidate screenings, interviews, and onboarding.
- Collaborate with managers and supervisors to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process to ensure a positive candidate experience.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, resolving conflicts and promoting a positive workplace culture.
- Manage employee disciplinary procedures and terminations in accordance with company policies.
- Facilitate communication between employees and management.
Performance Management:
- Implement performance evaluation program and its effectiveness.
- Provide guidance and support to managers on performance-related issues.
- Identify training needs and create or coordinate development programs.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Administer and support employee benefits programs, including annual enrollment in health insurance, participation in wellness programs, and supporting team members who are planning for retirement.
- Assist to resolve any hours/pay issues prior to payroll deadlines.
Compliance & Legal:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations.
- Assist in updating and enforcing company policies and procedures.
- Conduct investigations and maintain records of all HR-related matters.
Training & Development:
- Plan and conduct training sessions on various HR topics.
- Support the professional development of employees through continuous learning opportunities.
HR Strategy:
- Contribute to the development of HR strategies that align with overall business objectives.
- Analyze HR metrics and provide reports to senior management to support decision-making.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the HR function.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in human resource management.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred.
