A Robert Half client in Martin/St. Lucie County is looking for Senior Financial Analyst to play a pivotal role in the company's financial operations.

You'll be responsible for ensuring accurate SEC external filings, analyzing financial results with various business units, and maintaining a deep understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely completion of quarterly external filings, including Form 10-Q and Form 10-K.
  • Collaborate closely with business units and accounting teams to deliver accurate financial data.
  • Manage end-to-end processes for loans and allowance, including monthly activity analysis and model review.
  • Review financial statements and disclosures to ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Oversee financial systems and data integrity to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Analyze business drivers behind financial results and contribute to investor presentations and SEC filings.
  • Evaluate and account for complex transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, and revenue recognition.
  • Implement technology-driven changes to enhance accounting processes.
  • Stay updated on accounting rules and emerging issues, adapting processes and controls as needed.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies to ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis or related roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
  • Experience with SEC reporting and regulations.
  • Ability to prepare and review Form 10-K and Form 10-Q filings.
  • Experience with Workiva reporting software preferred.
  • Knowledge of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) processes.
  • Experience in banking credit analysis.
  • Familiarity with banking regulations and compliance.
  • Prior experience in the banking industry.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required; CFA or CPA preferred.
