General Purpose:

As a Tech Lead in Software Engineering with specialization in Salesforce, Cloud, AI, and Commerce Cloud, you will lead and inspire a team of developers to design, deliver, and operate highly reliable software solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders to ensure that functional, non-functional, and customer experience requirements are met. Your expertise in Salesforce Commerce Cloud, AI-driven features, and cloud integration will be crucial in enhancing Salesforce capabilities and driving business success. You will allocate your time across key activities: Project Leadership (~50%), Technical Leadership and Mentoring (~30%), and Software Development/System Engineering (~20%).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Leadership:
  • Ensure the technical quality and scalability of software developed by the team, with a focus on Salesforce Commerce Cloud and AI integration.
  • Lead the development team, ensuring the capacity and skills align with delivery expectations, particularly in Salesforce Commerce Cloud, cloud-based environments, and AI-driven processes.
  • Define application roadmaps in collaboration with Solution Architects, incorporating cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud to enhance Salesforce and Commerce Cloud functionality.
  1. Salesforce Commerce Cloud & Integration:
  • Lead the design and implementation of solutions using Salesforce Commerce Cloud to create seamless online shopping experiences and integrate with other Salesforce clouds.
  • Develop and maintain cloud-native applications that extend Salesforce and Commerce Cloud capabilities, including serverless computing, data storage, and processing solutions.
  • Ensure security, compliance, and performance optimization within Salesforce Commerce Cloud and integrated environments.
  1. AI & Cloud Integration & Development:
  • Utilize AI models like Claude or similar to automate and enhance business processes within Salesforce and Commerce Cloud.
  • Integrate Salesforce Commerce Cloud with AI-driven solutions to personalize customer interactions and optimize e-commerce experiences.
  • Develop, maintain, and review software with a focus on leveraging cloud services and AI technologies to enhance Salesforce and Commerce Cloud performance and scalability.
  1. Project Leadership:
  • Collaborate with all levels of the organization, from team members to senior leadership, to plan and oversee Salesforce Commerce Cloud and AI-based projects.
  • Plan and oversee application deployment activities, including the use of cloud CI/CD pipelines, AI model deployment, and DevOps practices.
  1. Salesforce, Cloud & AI Development:
  • Develop, maintain, and review software with a focus on leveraging Salesforce Commerce Cloud, cloud services, and AI technologies to enhance customer engagement and operational efficiency.
  • Execute unit, functional, and integration tests, with a particular emphasis on cloud-based and AI-driven testing and monitoring tools.
  • Investigate and integrate new cloud and AI technologies that can improve Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Salesforce applications.
  1. Mentorship and Coaching:
  • Mentor and coach development teams on Salesforce Commerce Cloud architecture, design, and best practices in AI and cloud-based Salesforce development.
  • Translate leadership expectations into actionable tasks, focusing on Salesforce Commerce Cloud, AI-driven processes, and cloud solutions.

Required Knowledge/Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of Salesforce Commerce Cloud and its integration with other Salesforce products.
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their integration with Salesforce.
  • Experience with AI models like Claude or similar, and their application within Salesforce and Commerce Cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native and AI-driven development practices, including serverless computing, AI model deployment, and cloud security.
  • Experience with Salesforce products such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and CPQ.

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and cloud analytics tools like Einstein Analytics or Tableau CRM.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML practices and tools for training, deploying, and monitoring AI models in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines using cloud-based tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

Certifications:

  • Salesforce Commerce Cloud certifications (required)
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I & II (preferred)
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent cloud certification (preferred)
  • AI/ML certifications related to AI models like Claude or similar (preferred)
