Operating Room Materials Technician Location: Lowell, MA (Onsite)Note: Direct hire full-time role. Job Summary:We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Supply Chain Technician to support the inventory and supply management needs of the Operating Room (OR). This role involves hands-on work with stocking, replenishing, and tracking surgical supplies, with a strong emphasis on maintaining par levels and ensuring the availability of critical items based on daily caseloads. The ideal candidate should possess inventory experience, be physically capable of lifting and moving boxes, and demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.Key Responsibilities:Stock supply chain items specifically for Operating Room use.Monitor par levels and perform timely reordering to maintain inventory.Assess daily caseloads to identify high-usage items and adjust inventory priorities.Restock supplies and ensure items are placed in designated OR storage areas.Spend the first 2 hours each morning unloading and moving boxes (20–30 lbs).Track product usage and inventory movement using PeopleSoft or similar ERP system.Communicate effectively with OR staff, vendors, and supply chain team members.Maintain a clean and organized stock area.Stay on feet and mobile throughout the majority of the workday.Ensure accurate documentation and inventory data entry.Support overall day-to-day operations of the supply chain in the OR.Required Qualifications:High school diploma or GED.Ability to lift and move boxes up to 30 lbs regularly.Previous experience with inventory, supply chain, or warehouse operations.Basic computer proficiency (Outlook, Excel, data entry).Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Proven track record of reliability and job longevity.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in a hospital, healthcare, or surgical environment.Familiarity with surgical supplies or medical inventory systems.Previous use of PeopleSoft or similar ERP inventory management systems.Work Environment:Fast-paced hospital setting.Physically active role requiring standing, walking, lifting, and moving throughout the shift.Frequent interaction with clinical and supply chain staff.
