Operating Room Materials TechnicianLocation: Hospital in Lowell, MA Position Type: Direct Placement/ PermanentSchedule: Monday – Friday, 5:30/6:00 AM Start TimePosition Summary:Hospital in Lowell, MA is seeking two detail-oriented and reliable Operating Room Materials Technicians to join our dynamic surgical services team. In this essential role, you will support the day-to-day operations of the Operating Room by ensuring accurate stocking, restocking, and inventory management of surgical supplies. You’ll play a vital part in maintaining a seamless workflow that supports patient care and surgical team efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Maintain par levels and restock surgical supply inventory throughout the Operating Room (OR)Monitor daily usage trends and adjust supply orders accordinglyConduct ordering and inventory replenishment using PeopleSoftAssist in tracking and locating products as neededCollaborate with OR staff to ensure appropriate supplies are available for caseloadsPerform physical tasks including moving and lifting boxes (20–30 lbs)Unpack and stock supply deliveries – especially during first 1–2 hours of each morningMaintain cleanliness and organization of OR supply areasCommunicate supply needs and updates effectively with OR staff and supply chain teamSpend extended periods on your feet throughout the shiftRequired Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDPrior experience in healthcare, warehouse, or inventory/supply chain operationsStrong physical stamina – ability to lift 20–30 pounds regularlyBasic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and general system navigationAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong communication skills and a customer service mindsetDemonstrated reliability and longevity in previous rolesPreferred Qualifications:Previous hospital or medical supply chain experienceFamiliarity with PeopleSoft or similar ERP/inventory systems
