Production and Packaging Operator

Position overview:

The primary responsibility of this position is to operate appropriate machinery to blend and package products properly, ensuring quality and consistency of the product. This position works closely with production, lab, and shipping.


Production 50%


  • Before starting the production of each blend, ensure the cleanliness of the manufacturing machinery and equipment, so as to avoid any product contamination.
  • Ensure the blends are produced by following the production schedule and by using:
  • The components as indicated on the “Production Order” form, according to the quantities written thereon;
  • The appropriate machinery and equipment, depending on the product type and the quantity of the blend to produce;
  • The appropriate manufacturing cycle required for each specific product as indicated on the “Productions Order” form.
  • Take samples of the products manufactured and give them to the laboratory for QC testing.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the department.


Packaging 50%


  • Meet with production supervisor and shipping department to determine order of batch for packaging based on shipping needs. Collect production orders for the day and prepare necessary packaging materials per batch.
  • Before starting the packaging of each batch, ensure the cleanliness of the packaging machinery and equipment, to avoid any product contamination.
  • Pour and pack the products as indicated on the Production Order
  • Proper use of scanner to record steps in SAP
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials
  • Knowledge of valve usage and filtering based on batch and customer needs
  • Proper usage of scale, and pot lifting machinery (E49 and E12 respectively) and lid packaging conveyor belt.
  • Take samples of the products with proper labeling for testing and give them to the laboratory as necessary based on batch order and customers.
  • Record overages ≥6lb
  • Label, scan, and move packaged product to shipping or stock in warehouse.
  • Sign and date end of production order.
  • Upload the date you filled the packing
  • How many packages you used x the quantity in each package
  • Upload the total quantity
  • Sign name
  • Keep the department clean and tidy.
  • Clean all tools, levies, and machinery. Move finished cans to Can Wash.
  • Upon request, provide support when doing the physical inventory and/or in case of occasional checks.
  • Upon request help with corrections.
