Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and expense reports.
  • Support the billing process by reviewing client invoices for accuracy, tracking billable hours, and ensuring compliance with client billing guidelines.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and administrative staff to address financial inquiries and provide support.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements, and resolve any discrepancies or issues as they arise.
  • Process vendor invoices, employee expense reimbursements, and client payments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis to support decision-making and financial planning activities.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (specifically Microsoft Excel) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks and SoftPro)
  • Knowledge of legal industry billing practices and software (e.g., Legal Billing Software) is a plus.
