As a Product Technician at Aaron’s, you’ll play a vital role in delivering a top-notch customer experience by ensuring the safe handling, delivery, and setup of a variety of merchandise including home furnishings, appliances, electronics, and computers. Your responsibilities will also include demonstrating product use to customers, handling returns, performing routine service calls, and occasionally assisting with lease agreement reviews. This is a hands-on role that combines technical knowledge with customer service to support our operations both in-store and in the field.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all merchandise is thoroughly cleaned, inspected, and in perfect working condition prior to delivery.
  • Review product information sheets to ensure familiarity with product details and proper handling procedures.
  • Safely load, secure, and protect products for transport to and from customers’ homes.
  • Offload, install, and demonstrate the functionality of merchandise to customers during delivery.
  • Perform routine service calls, including product exchanges and troubleshooting.
  • Clean and certify returned merchandise to maintain high standards of product quality.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly warehouse, ensuring proper inventory management.
  • Safely operate delivery vehicles, documenting all vehicle movements and delivery details on daily route sheets.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and inspections of assigned delivery vehicles to ensure proper maintenance and safe operation.
  • Distribute company advertisements and promotional flyers while making deliveries in the field.
  • Assist with merchandise collections and, when necessary, review lease agreements with customers.

Job Requirements:

  • Physical ability to routinely lift, load, and maneuver merchandise weighing between 50-300 pounds, often using a dolly.
  • Neatly groomed appearance, maintaining a professional image.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in-person and over the phone, for effective customer interactions.
  • Strong technical aptitude or hands-on experience with electronics, appliances, or similar products.
  • Good driving skills with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
