The Manager, Manufacturing Engineering will be responsible for planning, sourcing and communicating device requirements to manufacturing partners crucial for Vitalacy wearable devices. They will also provide support for operations reporting, cost management and ongoing device projections as directed by the VP of Operations. The ideal candidate will have experience managing remote vendor relationships both inside and outside the United States. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient and accurate supply chain processes and device quality for deployment.
The Manager, Manufacturing Engineering, will work closely with the Operations Manager to support daily activities and contribute to overall operational efficiency. Note: Vitalacy does not manufacture devices in house. Vitalacy sources custom devices from several remote manufacturers.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage relationship and expectations with current manufacturing partners
- Measure and improve overall manufacturing capabilities, DFM, and support continuous improvement projects
- Own bill of materials and monitor component market availability
- Lead negotiations with vendors and suppliers
- Lead both tactical and strategic planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing methods and processes for new and existing products
- Communicate and interface regularly with key stakeholders and employees throughout the organization
What you will bring to the table:
- 5-7 years of proven leadership in manufacturing, distribution, or a similar environment.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
- Experience in a IoT, BLE and wearable hardware is a plus.
- Thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Strong demonstrated experience of Project Management principles
