WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR (POSITION):


We are hiring a System Administrator to serve our clients as a leader, problem solver, problem preventer, new idea presenter, and an overall, trusted IT, information security, solutions partner

TIME COMMITMENT

We’re looking for a System Administrator to work full time, 40 hours a week. The great news? The work is mostly remote, so choose the location and space that suits you best, as long as you reside within driving distance of Lakes Region Computer.

POSITION OVERVIEW


The System Administrator is our clients’ “go to” when they need an expert to fix problems when they arise and establish and implement the systems necessary to avoid future problems, so they can continue do what they do best.


WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (RESPONSIBILITIES)

  • Proactively maintaining client infrastructure, network, and applications, through preventive maintenance and auditing.
  • Processing and responding to requests for assistance from a variety of clients to include small businesses, municipalities, and individuals.
  • Documenting your work and various information using company infrastructure. We value documentation and learning. An issue that can be solved in hours the first time can be done much less time the second if the first case is properly documented.
  • Engaging directly with clients.
  • Troubleshooting various issues, as well as deploying upgrades and preventative maintenance measures.
  • Handling sensitive and legally protected information with care and diligence.


WHAT WE’D LOVE FROM YOU (preferred / required experience / traits):


  • Experience with IT infrastructure, Active Directory, Networking, and cloud computing.
  • Enjoy working with staff and clients, have a positive attitude, and be a team player.
  • Have strong troubleshooting skills and enjoy diagnosing and isolating the cause.
  • Succeed in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Networking, or related field, or relevant certifications/education/work experience
  • Love working with people and have experience in customer service and client interaction
  • Developed written communication skills.
  • Email / domain systems and associated ecosystem
  • Firewall, router experience (eager to learn new systems)
  • Windows 10-11, Windows Server
  • Managed Service Provider ecosystems / ticket systems
  • Multiple brands and variations of networking equipment
  • VOIP telephony systems


COMPENSATION:


This role is a full time, salaried position with pay based on experience.
