Pay Rate: $75 - $90/hr on W2 (depending on experience)


Description:

Our Cloud Solutions client is looking for a self-motivated and experienced Public Relations contractor for its Healthcare/Life Science Comms team. The purpose of this role is to drive awareness around the positive work our Cloud Solution does supporting governments and health focused organizations.


The right candidate possesses strong media relations and PR experience, is an expert at translating complex technology concepts into concise and well-written narratives, has significant experience supporting customers in the health and public sector industries, and has a demonstrated ability leading cross-functional teams.


The ideal candidate enjoys diving deep into technology, understanding how it is shaping and redefining the world we live in and engaging top tier business, inside-the-beltway, and technology media. They are motivated by a dynamic, highly creative culture where the challenge of breaking new ground and redefining best practices is welcome. In this role, the candidate will have the ability to work alongside a variety of internal teams and also support our cloud customers. The candidate must have excellent writing skills, have experience driving proactive campaigns and have a track record of utilizing good judgement in high pressure situations.


Key job responsibilities

1. Work closely with Public Sector/Healthcare customers to help them tell their stories about success with how cloud technology is helping them innovate and enhance mission success.

2. Provide communications counsel to business leaders.

3. Work alongside PR colleagues around the world to share best practices and execute global campaigns.

4. Work cross-functionally to plan and execute PR campaigns.

5. Develop communications plans to support the development and execution of events and media engagements.

6. Continue to build and effectively differentiate the Worldwide Public Sector Health brand.


Basic qualifications

1. Bachelors degree

2. 10+ years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or public affairs

3. B2G and B2B experience required

4. Current experience managing media relationships, and a network of media contacts

5. Fluent in spoken and written business English

6. Excellent writing and verbal communications skills

3. Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and organizational skills

4. Outstanding attention to detail, understanding of technology, and the ability to communicate complex topics effectively

5. Experience supporting and knowledge of current health policy matters

6. Experience creating awareness and driving communications priorities in support of a global health organization

7. Experience leading integrated communications and marketing campaigns

8. Thrives in a collaborative environment and is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done
