Essential Qualifications for the Merchandising Coordinator

  • Bachelor’s degree in retail merchandising or relevant field preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong working knowledge of excel
  • Strives to continuously improve the coordination of merchandising activities and tasks


Daily Responsibilities for the Merchandising Coordinator

  • Record and arrange brand submissions and samples, and document feedback from the core category teams.
  • Help manage and coordinate brand meeting schedules.
  • Oversees SKU maintenance by ensuring their accuracy according to the Merchant's guidelines.
  • Starts and inputs promotional offers into Promo Advisor, using print and master side-by-side comparisons. Enters all SKUs into the offers and finalizes details with the pricing team.
  • Handles marketing sign requests and proofing, keeps product samples organized, checks the accuracy of magazine pages and digital assets, and enters brand and item data into email and homepage wireframes.
  • Supports the planogram process by handling pricing requests, establishing new SKUs, updating existing SKU codes, entering markdowns, executing exit strategies (initiates RTV/DIF), and verifying the accuracy of graphics.
  • Drafts store memos and communication requests, and addresses help desk tickets with proactive solutions.
  • Offers general administrative support for managing brand contacts, coordinating brand/vendor meetings, and handling additional tasks as needed.
